Happy Labor Day weekend!
Goldenrod usually takes over my yard and garden. This year I decided to match the mum with it.
Tomato season was plentiful! I especially love the yellow ones. Nothing like a fresh tomato right off of the vine! I shred the green ones to make green tomato bread at a later time.
This was my most recent post to the #vintagedecortour and @vintagedecortour on Instagram. There are always such lovely ideas every Sunday/Monday. You should really check it out.
Usually I like to create my Christmas decorations in July. Something about a hot day working on Christmas ideas really appeals to me. This year I got a little behind. So last week I turned on Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and put together my Christmas trucks and some new ideas in tins. It was such a calm and inspiring day!
Can you guess which one I kept for myself this year?
These were the new ideas.....I especially love the feather headed one!
Make sure to pick up the Holiday issue for Flea Market Decor magazine. It's fabulous! It will really get you in the mood for the holidays! I'm still going through it and loving every minute of it!
Main Street Market by Urban Farmgirl has an event coming up Sept 12 at the fairgrounds in Belvidere. Elkhorn Flea Market is still on as of now for Sept 27. 3 French Hens still has a few markets coming up and they just announced their holiday one in November. Make sure to check each events Facebook page for current information. Quite a few stores are having open houses and flea markets. Just check out your favorite places for their information. There are still garage sales and estate sales. Take advantage of them while you can!
Happy treasure hunting!
