I had to keep this vintage chippy duck planter and this patio set. I have been enjoying them sitting outside drinking my coffee.
On the Fourth of July I decorated mason jars with some burlap and vintage trim to hold patriotic flowers. It was a perfect addition to our sun room.
Even though it's hot out doesn't mean I don't have Christmas on my mind. Here's some pictures of recent treasures....
These are two more finds that I added to my collection. My cow creamer collection seems to be growing rather quickly.
And just today I added this pitcher to my collection.
I found it in a basement covered in dirt and filled with hardened dirt. I absolutely love shopping for treasures in a dirty house. I always find the best stuff! All it took was a little soap and water and it cleaned up perfectly. It now sits on a shelf in my living room with my ironstone pitchers.
Last week I found a hysterical book, A Thousand Ways to Please a Husband with Bettinas Best Recipes. It was pretty faded and worn but it was definitely something I couldn't pass up.
Last Sunday was my first time on the #vintagedecortour @vintagedecortour on Instagram. It was super fun and I met lots of talented people. It will run on Sundays and I'm going to be participating again this Sunday. Here's last week's photo....
Here's another photo I shared to Instagram this week. I'm really loving vintage floral paintings.
There are still lots of garage and estate sales out there. Just grab your mask/hand sanitizer and go! As of now the Elkhorn Flea Market is still scheduled for August 9 and 3 French Hens is still scheduled for August 8. Make sure to check their websites for any changes.
Happy treasure hunting!
