New Additions

I think I may have started a new collection.  I recently posted a picture of a white cow pitcher that I found at a flea market.  I had always wanted one.  Well, I found two more at Anew Interiors Anew on the square in Woodstock.  www.facebook.com/anewinteriorsanew/ They were part of Karen's personal collection that she was downsizing.

I couldn't resist them.  It's funny how a collection starts.  It just gets a life of its own.

I added the large one to my milk glass/enamelware collection on top of the china cabinet.  (The smaller one has become a part of my barn with two other cow figures).

This past week was so much fun treasure hunting.  I found quite a bit.

I had to take a few pictures to fit it all in.

I put the turtle cookie jar in Ethan's room on top of his bookcase.  He loves collecting turtle things and he now has three turtle cookie jars.  I'm keeping the hammered aluminum mugs and tray by Wendell August Forge.  That's for my collection!

I am super excited about this frame filled with fair ribbons and pins.  It is amazing! and super heavy.

I found this vintage golf trophy at the same sale as the fair ribbons.  It's another great find that I'm excited about.

I spent most of today transitioning over to fall in my home decor.  (Pictures will come at another time).  I love this time of year when I can pull out a sweater and visit my favorite apple orchard. www.facebook.com/Edwards-Apple-Orchard-296241517156065/ Edwards Apple Orchard is in Poplar Grove. There are also a few really cute antique shops in the area.  Why not make a day of it! I always buy a dip mix from them, usually enough to last for the year.  I finally used the last packet yesterday when family came over.  It's super easy to make: sour cream and mayonnaise mixed with the herb packet and then let it sit usually overnight.  So delicious!  I need to make a trip soon over there to stock up.

Sunday is the flea market in Cedarburg WI.

Happy treasure hunting!

  1. Love Edwards Apple Orchard. The best cider donuts ever! I am holding onto summer for a little longer before I start fall decor. Have a great rest of the week.

    1. I always get a cider doughnut when I'm at Edwards Apple Orchard in their cafe. It's so nice to just sit there and take in the atmosphere. Hope all is well! Milena
